Our founder and CEO, Hailei Beckwith is a true Southern Belle. Born in Texas and raised in Louisiana, Hailei spent a great deal of her time with two very influential women in her life; her great-Grandmother and great-great Aunt. It was during this time she learned all about southern traditions and the art of canning jams/preserves in mason jars.

Wanting to own her on business as well as help those that are less fortunate, she started making candles at the age of thirteen (13). Having several allergies, one being bees, she knew her candles could not be made with beeswax and other harsh chemicals. She wanted to make a product that was as natural as possible and after much research, she decided on her own proprietary blend of soy and coconut wax with natural cotton wicks. To honor the joys of southern living she wanted to use vessels that would remind her of the days she spent with her Grandmother and Aunt, henceforth, the use of mason and jelly jar vessels. She decided to take this newfound passion of hers and share it with more people. LoveLit Candles Co. was born! Every candle is made with love and infused with luscious fragrances.

Southern tradition is steeped in the heart of LoveLit Candles Co. products and are for anyone who wants their personal space to feel comforting and inviting. Our customers come from all walks of life, and it is our hope that with each purchase they are reminded that love is light and light is love and we should always let our light shine.
